The Employee Development and Retention Programme is a Funded programme by Department of Skills Development (DSD) under Ministry of Human Resource (MOHR) with the objectives to upskill, provide a career pathway and retention for employees. It trains and educates employees to be more skillful, knowledgeable & have a better understanding towards its industry, job functions and increases retention too. This programme provides Malaysian Skill Certificate up to Advance Diploma or Micro Credentials.

Employee Eligibility to Participate:
  • Malaysian (Age 16 and above)
  • Newly Hired or Existing Staffs
  • Works Full Time

The program is suitable for positions from operators, supervisors, team leaders, executives, assistant managers and managers from various departments and industries. The areas we are able to cover including:

  • 1. Lean Six Sigma - Quality Management System
  • 2. Mechatronics
  • 3. Sales & Marketing
  • 4. Customer Service
  • 5. Electronics
  • 6. Quality Control Assurance
  • 7. Logistics

Duration of this programme is up to 12 months depending on the courses.

Participants are required to do a minimum of 3 hours theory (synchronous) via physical or online and 5 hours self-learning (asynchronous) weekly via online only. It can be conducted off working hours.

**Fully Customize course for 100 pax and above. Minimum 25 pax per company.

This programme uses the mentor mentee system whereby every 5 employees participating, 1 coach/supervisor is required to ensure effectiveness of the training.Coach/Supervisor is referring to senior or managerial employee in the organization.

Monthly Allowances is provided. The breakdown is as below:

Employer/Company: RM200
Employee/Participants: RM500
Training Provider: RM300

Trainees will be receiving allowance of RM500 per month throughout the period of training.Example if the training is 6 months, trainees will receive allowance of RM500 x 6 months = RM3,000.

Company will be receiving allowance of RM200 per pax monthly.Example if the training is 6 months, company will receive allowance of RM200 x 6 months = RM1,200.
Please be informed that MIT Academy will charge per month RM200 per pax to assist on securing quota, tedious documentations, provide quality trainers and etc. to ensure an effective training outcome.Therefore, for 6 months it will be RM1,200 per pax.Company may use the allocated company allowance RM200 per pax monthly to cover expenses for this.

Without the company allowance it’s still a Win-Win for the company as company employees are benefitted by the free training to upskill or reskill employee to achieve better quality and increases knowledge at work. Importantly, company will be able to increase employee’s retention.

Expenses Incurred:
A. 1 coach to 5 trainees/staff. Coach training per pax is RM200/pax normal price. Discounted price is RM100/pax. HRDC SBL Khas Claimable. This is one off cost.
B. Registration & Certification for Malaysia Skill Certificate up to Advance Diploma/Micro Credentials is RM100 per pax. HRDC SBL Khas Claimable. Participating company will bear the cost. This is one off cost.

In summary, the objectives of this programme is to enhance employee performance, boost productivity, quality and reduces turnover.
